We are currently looking for people to help us in a number of ways.

 

Volunteer Collecters

We always need volunteers to help us with collections across Reading at places like local supermarkets, sporting matches and high street malls. Collections are for around 2- 6 hours and usually take place outside working hours. Collectors must be over the age of 16.

We will be having collections in December on Broad Street this year, with probable collections at supermarkets in the local area.

 

Volunteer Community Events Fundraiser

You could help RHSP raise vital funds by organising a local event on our behalf. You could do anything from planning a coffee morning to organising a treasure hunt.

We will help you by providing the fundraising materials you need. We are also keen to hear from anyone interested in forming a volunteer events committee in your local area. Organising community events are a great way to make new friends and develop skills in different areas.

This year we are already looking for people to help us with the Reading Half Marathon and RSHP Sleep Out.

Volunteering as a Box Collector

In the Reading area are always looking for volunteers to help us service our collection boxes. Volunteers are required to visit local businesses in their area - such as corner shops, hairdressers and hotels - that have a RSHP collection cans and empty the cans as required. It's very straightforward but can save valuable RSHP resources.

to help RSHP continue supporting some of the most vulnerable people in Reading.
