Wherever and whoever you are, RSHP has a wide range of ways that you can get involved in helping some of the most vulnerable people in Reading.

School Fundraising

You can help us at school by fundraising to raise money to support our work. We can even provide speakers to come and talk to students about the Charity and homelessness. Maybe you would like to get your school involved with our sleep out which schools over the Berkshire area are getting involved in.

We also have a very exciting theatre project, 'Homelessness Demystified' which we aim to be running again this Autumn which aims to help children break down the myths and misunderstanding around the subject of homelessness.

University Fundraising

Get involved with your RAG or university. We can supply promotional materials to support your event, and fundraising ideas if you're stuck for inspiration!

It might seem difficult to get involved while at university, with both time and money in short supply.

If you're worried about commitment, then don't be, we're happy to try and fit volunteering around your work and study commitments. Give RSHP call and talk it through with us.

How to get involved...

There are loads of ways that you and the others in your college or university can support the work of RSHP to help vulnerable homeless people rebuild their lives.

You’ve probably got lots of ideas already like a sponsored sleep out, street collections and sponsored parachute jumps. The list is endless, but you might need some help or advice to get started.

With Your club

So you’re a member of a club and would like to find out more about how you can get involved?

If you choose a charity to support each year, you might like to nominate RSHP next time. We would be pleased to discuss exactly how your support could be used and to provide you with regular updates. We are very willing to support you with any of your fundraising events and activities by providing you with materials and helping with local publicity. Just let us know.

Or perhaps your club members have a particular skill or time that could be put to good use within one of our projects. This might include helping with gardening, decorating or helping to provide training in specific work or personal skills.
In return for a donation we are able to provide speakers to talk to your club and hope that they would bring RSHP to life and encourage you to go on to support RSHP’s work with vulnerable homeless people living in Reading.
